Degen began her journey in the healthcare field in 2000, working as a Home Health Aide Assistant to the elderly during her high school years. This early experience sparked her interest in nursing and set the stage for her future career.

In 2004, Degen officially started her nursing career, earning her credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Over time, she continued to advance her education and skills, eventually becoming a registered nurse. Her diverse experience includes working with individuals recovering from surgery or dealing with brain issues that require physical therapy. Degen has worked in various settings, including rehabilitation centers, acute rehab centers, and specialized units for Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

Eventually, Degen discovered her passion for pediatric care. She has dedicated herself to caring for critically ill children, working with numerous pediatric agencies across Maryland. Her commitment to pediatric nursing is reflected in the compassionate and expert care she provides to her young patients.

Degen is committed to lifelong learning and continuously seeks to enhance her knowledge and skills as a nurse. She strives to offer the highest standard of care, ensuring that her clients receive not only necessary medical attention but also the best possible care and informed support
